I’m just getting around to processing some pictures I took when we visited a state park with some friends.
I set a couple of challenges for myself:
1. Process in B&W using Lightroom. (In the past I’ve mostly used Photoshop.)
2. Use only a single wide-angle lens.
3. Use my 10-stop ND filter whenever possible.
I didn’t realize how many alligators we’d see that day. They were everywhere! If I had, I’d have carried a telephoto lens too.
There are no portfolio-worthy images but these are a few of my favorites.
If there had been any clouds in the sky, this one might have been neat.
I like the contrast of textures. There is actually a heron and alligator on the left side of the image too.
I wish I had a telephoto lens for these guys. The entire middle of this image is overlapping alligators.
There was a spring bubbling up in the upper left hand corner. Since it was mid-day, I guess even the 10-stop ND couldn’t completely defeat it.
